A New Home for the Wildcats (and more)
NorthStar is supporting several major projects for Villanova University: the renovation of The Pavilion (now named the Finneran Pavilion), renovation of both the Austin Hall and Tolentine Hall, and the construction of a new 78,000 SF Performing Arts Center.
The goal of Finneran Pavilion renovation is to improve the fan experience, revenue, operations, and to re-imagine the Pavilion as a basketball-centric facility with the added capability of serving as a revenue-generating event space. The revitalized space features new and improved seating, sports and theatrical lighting, state-of-the-art AV systems and elements, enhanced concession and food service spaces, graphics, club spaces, lounges, recruiting spaces, new sports flooring, improved exterior entrance sequence and finishes, and infrastructure improvements. Finneran Pavilion opened in October 2018.
Currently under construction is Villanova’s new Performing Arts Center on Lancaster Avenue. The new building will feature classrooms, dance and art studios, and 2 performance spaces; one will be a 200-seat black box theatre and the other a 400-seat proscenium-style theatre. The building’s expansive lobby/atrium will include a catering kitchen as well as a café perfect for audiences, students, and receptions.
