Crown Acquisitions – Chick-fil-A
With 5 stories in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, this location set the record for the largest – both in size and gross – restaurant Chick-fil-A has ever built. The restaurant includes a skylight, ample natural lighting streaming in through floor-to-ceiling windows, and outdoor rooftop seating for guests overlooking the famed Freedom Tower in the new 5-story location.
NorthStar provided landlord work oversight services for this new 144 Fulton Street location in New York City, which included a near-complete demolishment and rebuild. The 64-week project was, essentially, a turnkey for the tenant, Chick-fil-A. In our role, NorthStar provided weekly updates which determined whether the project’s schedule was being adhered to and highlighted any issues that may affect schedule or budget. We made recommendations to the client and developer – Crown Acquisitions – as appropriate to point out potential cost savings. Additionally, our team addressed and remedied construction code issues, reviewed progress of construction, and provided change order review and project closeout.
